RAISED ON COFFEE, SWEET TEA & JESUS

To start off any normal day, my mother would brew a fresh pot of hot coffee to start the morning off great! By evening, supper would grace the table with a cold glass of iced tea to savor the moment. Being raised on coffee and sweet tea over hot breakfast and a good home cooked meal in the evening was the best times to talk, share in conversation, and to think of how blessed we are to have each other and many things that we have accomplished together through Christ Jesus. Being raised on coffee and sweet tea is like the signature style of a recipe for a traditional southern family. It brings so much energy and joy to any conversation. Whether it's hot off the heat or cold as ice, once you finish sipping or drinking it down, it just lifts your spirit. No matter what problem you started with, by the time you got to the last drop, your conversation would have changed from sorrow to gladness by thanking Jesus for life being as well as it is.

The Bible teaches us to let our conversation be filled with grace, seasoned with salt so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4:5-6.

Listen, before you have those must hard conversations, take them before the Lord in prayer then pour up a cup of coffee with or without cream. Just the aroma itself will take the bitter out of the mara to release the spirit of sweet peace. By evening, pour up a glass of sweet tea to rejoice over your conquering thoughts of how you did what Jesus would have done in that situation to save the day. Just by pouring up a cup or a glass of love from the well of Jesus, you're now reaping the spirit of joy from sorrow. Coffee and Sweet Tea will cause one to forget about how hard you thought you were losing to celebrating the wins.
